Everyone needs someone to talk to, to air our views, share our concerns.
If you struggling with loneliness and need someone to talk to then come to CHAT2Us. Coming to our Socials you will be greeted with many smiles which will turn into life-long friends. We can also support you by providing transport to and from the meeting hall if necessary. Putting you in contact with like-minded people that want to get out of their houses and meet new friends. Try something new and keep both body and mind fit and active pop along to our CHAT2Us Social Mornings (which include a lunch once a month!)
Helping anyone who has a difficulty help solve that problem. CHAT2Us help anyone over 18 solve the issue that has been spoiling their everyday. This has been from helping to fill in forms for benefits, write C.V.'s and emails or word on the computer/laptop/phone and the internet for shopping and accessing GP support.Helping anyone who has a difficulty help solve that problem. Jan 2024 we received funding from Tesco Groundwork, to help support us to visit clients in Fareham as well as Gosport. If you know someone in Fareham who needs our support please pass our number onto them 07450028410, don't worry about the costs as we can Call You Back!! This has now closed but please get in contact, we may still be able to help you!
The icing on the cake was receiving almost £12,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund to continue for a further 2 years. We are so proud of that achievement and the confidence they have in our work. We are now looking for new funding as this is soon to close.
The Co op (blue label) is supporting us to raise funds from their community pot but we also need the people of Gosport and Fareham to support us by voting for us as their 'Cause'. Not a member of this Co op then it is easy to sign up. Further details are on our FaceBook Page.
Weekly, we hold our ever popular CHAT2Us Social Mornings. Coming together to support communities near and far with activities to keep our body and minds fit. Sometimes we may put on an activity that we all can do but at
others you will find us seperated into groups of different activities, games, colouring, crafts, knitting and crocheting. Our ladies like to knit and crochet and have supported Ukraine by creating over 220 blankets for Ukraine since the war commenced. Other essential items are also sent to the New Forest Ukraine Support group such as foods, medicines, animal food, and candle!
We continue to help Queen Alexandra Hospital Neo-Natal Unit with blankets, cardigans and tiny hats for these very tiny babies. If you would like to help come along and join us! Monthly, we hold a lunch group which is ever popular especially with the men!
