We Are Here! The Henry Cook Centre
Every week is different when we shuffle it up a bit and make it different, we may play games; cards, bingo or do a craft; decoupage, weaving, painting, cardmaking, or we may invite someone from another group to come to speak to us or show us what they do best. Whatever activity we have on, we always, end the month with a healthy lunch where we can catch up with members and friends made at the group.
We presently pay £3 subs which help towards the little extra, Christmas party etc.
The Henry Cook Centre is now fully disabled friendly after undergoing refurbishments over the shutdown. You will find a nice ramp at the front of the building and a newly fitted disabled toilet inside. Funds for this were provided by the Gosport Voluntary Centre Lottery Fund.
The Henry Cook Centre - Home of Waterside Bethel, is located near Bemisters Lane and the George & Dragon Pub in Gosport and alongside Gosport Shopping Precinct where T&Js Chinese Restaurant is situated. Free parking is at the rear in Coates Road, PO12 1BL. Look for the small carpark in South Street and follow it round to the Watersides' own car park (no charge).
